J.P. Morrell has claimed victory in the New Orleans Councilmember at Large for Division 2 race.

Morrell currently has more than 68 percent of the vote in the race.

According to Morrell's campaign website, during his first term, he has increased transparency and oversight of city spending and contracts, expanded paid job programs for younger people, and established a billing process to protect ratepayers and give residents a fair voice at Sewerage and Water Board.
