Disgraced musician Ian Watkins, the former frontman of Welsh rock band Lostprophets, has been stabbed to death in prison, a decade after being jailed for a string of horrific child sex offences. The 48-year-old was reportedly killed in a knife attack by another inmate at HMP Wakefield, widely known as the “Monster Mansion.” According to reports, Watkins’ throat was slashed shortly after inmates were released from their cells on Saturday morning. A Prison Service spokesperson confirmed, “We are aware of an incident at HMP Wakefield which took place this morning.
