CHANDLER, AZ (AZFamily) — Traffic on Loop 202 San Tan is restricted in the East Valley after flooding and at least one crash on city streets is believed to be linked to the wet weather on Sunday.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT), westbound lanes of the Loop 202 San Tan, near Cooper Road, are closed due to standing water blocking several lanes, While pumps are working, a storm cell recently dumped rain in the area, so hydrovac crews are working to help clear it.

In the eastbound direction at Dobson, standing water and a crash blocked the right lanes. It’s unclear if the crash was weather-related.
