Get ready! Pumpkins are leveling up in Woodstock! Soon, festive pumpkin characters will pop-up all around town, just in time for Halloween.

Now in its ninth year, the beloved fall tradition turns Woodstock into a playful, town-wide art display. This year's theme celebrates the nostalgia of classic video games.

“This year is all about nostalgia,” said Jennifer Dufner, marketing and events coordinator for the town of Woodstock. “It’s something all walks of life, shapes, background and political views can appreciate, and I think people will really love the nostalgia of it all."

Launched in 2016 by town staff and Woodstock Enhancement to add color and fun to the community, the pumpkin character idea came from a public works employee, said Woodstock's Director of Marketing and Events Katie M
