A 37-year-old Nashua man died in the hospital on Sunday from injuries sustained while being attacked by his family's dog in his home at 67 Burgundy Drive a day earlier.
Nashua Police Sgt. John Cinelli confirmed that the home's owner, Tyler Moen-Lisk, appears to have experienced a medical event that panicked the dog, prompting it to attack him about the head, neck and arms on Saturday.
According to family members, Cinelli said, Moen-Lisk had a history of "sometimes-violent" seizures.
Dogs sometimes respond aggressively to the sudden, involuntary movements that humans make during seizures, and there numerous cases of them severely injuring or killing people while they're experiencing an episode.
"It was bad," said a neighboring resident, who was next door when Moen-Lisk was attacked.
