The US stock market will remain open on October 13, which will be celebrated as Columbus Day in the US.
While both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and Nasdaq will be operational during their regular hours, the bond market is closed on account of the national holiday in the US on Oct 13.
Here's everything else that will be closed for business on Monday:
Financial Institutions
Most banks, including major chains like Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase, and Wells Fargo, are closed due to the Federal Reserve holiday. ATMs and online banking will remain operational.
Some retail banks may keep select branches open.
Government and Postal Services
Federal government offices and most state/city offices are closed, including departments like the DMV and public libraries.
