A 70-year-old woman suffered serious injuries after losing consciousness behind the wheel and causing a six-vehicle crash in Huntington Station on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk County police said

The woman, whose identity was being withheld pending notification of her family, was driving a 2012 Lexus RC350 eastbound on West Pulaski Road near Oakwood Road at about 12:50 p.m. when she suffered the medical emergency, police said in a news release.

Her car first sideswiped a Nissan sedan before continuing into an occupied parked vehicle, police said. That set off a chain reaction that saw the Nissan strike two additional parked vehicles with the Lexus continuing east into an another parked car, police said.
