The UK snow is now likely to hit "parts" of England too with the first flurries of the autumn now likely south of the border - as WELL as Scotland. The first snow of the season could sweep across northern England, according to WX Charts.

The latest maps and charts from the forecasting agency, which relies on the GFS advanced model, shows snow measuring THREE INCHES, or 7cm - could fall across mountainous areas in the Scottish Highlands from midday on Sunday, October 26.

Some parts of northern England and Wales may also experience some snowfall that weekend. The BBC Weather team has reflected on the projections, which come courtesy of Met Desk data.
