Police have confirmed human bones have been found on a Devon beach.
The grim discovery was made on Saturday, October 11. Devon and Cornwall Police say officers were called to the beach at around 2.50pm, to reports of human bones being discovered.
DevonLive reports that investigations are now underway and the bones will be examined by a forensic archaeologist to assess how old they are.
Officers remain at the beach today (Monday, October 13) while enquiries are carried out. It comes after a human bone was found inside a bag in Brixham last week, as reported by DevonLive.
