QUEENS, N.Y. (PIX11) -- At least 17 people were injured after two MTA buses crashed into each other in Queens, according to the NYPD.

A Q27 bus crashed into another Q27 bus on Monday morning near Sanford Avenue and Bowne Street, according to officials.

Police said 16 passengers and one driver had minor injuries. The FDNY said 19 people were injured, 14 of whom were taken to area hospitals.

Some Queens bus routes are being rerouted as a result of the crash, including Q13, Q27, Q26 and Q65 buses, according to the MTA.

A video posted to Citizen seemingly showed some damage to the back of one Q27 bus, with a second Q27 bus stopped ahead in the street. Police are at the rainy scene, videos show.
