WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - The Wichita Fire Department says a driver was taken into custody after crashing into a pedestrian bridge on the city's southeast side late Saturday night.

Crews responded just before 12 a.m. Sunday to the report of a single-vehicle crash near Funston and Fabrique, near Harry and Woodlawn. WFD said someone reported the car flew through the air and was on fire, stuck in the side of the bridge.
