KALKASKA — A free public screening of the nationally acclaimed documentary My Ascension will take place Oct. 29 at Kalkaska High School, offering an evening focused on youth mental health and suicide prevention.

According to an Oct. 13 news release, the event will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the school auditorium with resource tables and light appetizers, followed by the film screening at 6 p.m. and a debrief panel.

Admission is free and open to the public, including students in middle school and older, parents, educators, and community members. Students must be accompanied by an adult.
