A popular downriver bakery and pastry shop known for its various cannoli now has a new space. Tony Cannoli Sweets & Eats is now open at 16075 West Road in Woodhaven, in the same plaza as Trentwood Farm Market.

Owner Tony Cangialosi opened the original location a few doors away seven years ago. The new space is double the size of the previous one and has some new offerings. Inside, behind glass cases, are cannoli made from a family recipe, Cangialosi said, along with other baked goods, such as specialty cakes, cream puffs, cupcakes and macarons. Here, you will also find specialty dessert squares, like coffee-flavored, creamy tiramisu.

"We were outgrowing the space next door and wanted to add pizza and subs," Cangialosi told the Free Press.
