Iowa men’s basketball player Tavion Banks was arrested early Sunday morning for an alleged fight at ReUnion Brewery in downtown Iowa City.

Banks was charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct, fighting or violent behavior.

“The UI Athletics Department and men’s basketball program are aware of Tavion Banks’ citation over the weekend,” said a release from the department. “He is subject to established university protocol regarding the UI Student-Athlete Code of Conduct, and the rules and regulations set for members of the men’s basketball program.”
