LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Henderson announced Monday the return of "Henderson Shines" in November.

According to a release from the city, the cleanup day comes as a response to resident demand. The event will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, at the Sun City Anthem Center.

Residents are encouraged to bring hazardous materials, including paint, oil, and electronics, to dispose of safely at the event.

Gently used clothing, household items, and children's books will also be accepted as donations.

During the last Henderson Shines event in April, around 460 vehicles participated in the drive-through event, which resulted in the city collecting the following: • Over 4,500 pounds of e-waste • 200 gallons of used oil • Eight tons of paint • Over 5,200 pounds of paper • Over 3,700 pounds of donat
