ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Police arrested an Albany teen on Sunday during a firearm investigation. The 16-year-old, whose name was not released due to their age, is facing multiple weapon charges.

On October 12 around 1:50 a.m., Albany Police approached the teen near Delaware and Myrtle Avenues in connection to an ongoing investigation in the area. The 16-year-old reportedly tried to run off, but was stopped without incident following a brief chase.

Officers reported that the minor was allegedly found with a loaded, unserialized "ghost gun," resulting in the 16-year-old being taken into custody. The teen now faces the following charges: • Second-degree criminal possession of a weapon - felony • Third-degree criminal possession of a weapon - felony • Fourth-degree criminal possession
