The annual West Valley Country Music Association Songwriter’s Contest Showcase will host 15 contestants vying to place among the top three.

The finalists are Clydene Balke, Lobo, Dede Schmallen, Alan Nordquist, Keith Monet, Don Blount, Karmann Powell, Jerry Scarsbrook, Mark Bishop Evans, Brian Fishkind, Clyde & Lola Jorgensen, Rochelle Tinstman, Adam Gears, Steve Christiansen, and Cowboy Wrecks.

All will perform their qualifying songs at the 8th Annual Songwriting Contest at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19 at the G lendale Library, 5959 W Brown St.

Three judges who are in the music industry will decide the top three.
