‘Live at Asante’ returns in time for 250th birthday for USA

Surprise’s year-long celebration leading up to America’s 250th anniversary in 2026 continues with another show in the “LIVE at Asante” music series.

The free, outdoor concert series combines live music, arts activities and a look at America’s cultural history.

“LIVE at Asante — America’s Musical Roots” will run from 6 to 8 p.m. every third Thursday of the month through May at Asante Library, 16755 W. Vereda Solana Drive.

Each performance will highlight a different genre, offering a brief history of its importance in American music.

Oct. 16 — Country-Pop: Anjanette Indelicato (opener) and Rhonda Jo and Shawn Royer (headliner)

Nov. 20 — Singer/Songwriter: Abby
