FRANCONIA, Minn. — A motorcyclist died this weekend after crashing with a deer.

According to Minnesota State Patrol , it happened Sunday on Highway 95 near Pleasant Valley Road in Chisago County.

Officials said he struck the deer while riding north at about 12:45 a.m.

The man has been identified as Bruce Roy Fillmore, 71, of Shafer. State Patrol said he was not wearing a helmet.
