DANVILLE, Vt. (WCAX) - Police say a car crashed into a telephone pole in Danville on Monday morning, bringing wires down across both lanes of Route 2.

Troopers say just after 11 a.m., a driver from Thailand lost control on a corner near West Shore Drive and hit the pole.

Route 2 had to be shut down while crews fixed the lines.

The driver was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

Route 2 reopened about two and a half hours after the crash.
