The Titans have turned to senior offensive assistant Mike McCoy as interim head coach after firing Brian Callahan on Monday.

The move makes sense, as McCoy is by far the most qualified to take over the team, despite the fact he was hired just this year.
A 53-year-old California native, McCoy coached the San Diego (now Los Angeles) Chargers from 2013-16, posting a four-year record of 27-37. McCoy guided the Chargers to 9-7 marks in each of his first two seasons, reaching the playoffs in 2013, before the team dropped to 4-12 in 2015 and 5-11 in 2016.
