TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - Concerns are being raised about the handling of a Tucson City Council presentation and discussion regarding transit system safety after significant community feedback. City Councilmember Paul Cunningham is questioning the exclusion of a majority of surveyed public opinions during the council's recent meeting on the Sun Tran safety plan.
He emphasized the importance of addressing safety concerns within the transit system and questioned any claims that the bus is safe.
“You can’t tell me things are going well when one out of ten of your drivers say they feel safe,” Cunningham said.
