NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A car crashed through a woman’s bedroom on Smith Springs Road early Sunday morning, leaving neighbors shaken and demanding increased police presence in the area.
The homeowner escaped injury after leaving her bedroom with her two dogs just minutes before the 8 a.m. crash. The vehicle ran off Smith Springs Road, hit an embankment, and landed in the roof of her home, crushing the dogs’ crates in the process.
Neighbors say crashes are common
Steven Burris, who has lived in the area for 25 years, said the crash didn’t surprise him.
“Here’s a car that took a nosedive. Had to have been going, I would say, 100 plus, coming up the road,” Burris said.
