BUCKSNORT, Tenn. (WSMV) - Sheriff Chris Davis released the names of 16 people believed to have been inside the Accurate Energetic Systems plant when Friday’s explosion occurred, marking one of the biggest developments since the deadly blast.
The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) is using rapid DNA technology to identify remains recovered from the scene. The same technology was previously used to identify victims in the Waverly floods.
“We’re using the newest technology, Rapid DNA, so as remains are brought to us, we’ll be testing those to do matches so that we’re able to identify individuals,” TBI Director David Rausch said Sunday.
