Stock Market Opening Bell : Indian stock markets started on a positive note on Tuesday, with investors digesting global developments and India Inc’s corporate results. The BSE Sensex opened at 82,562, up 235 points or 0.29 per cent, while the Nifty50 started at 25,283, gaining 55 points or 0.22 per cent.

Among Sensex constituents, HCL Tech, Tech Mahindra, Tata Steel, Infosys, Reliance, BEL, Bajaj Finserv, Ultratech Cement, ICICI Bank, Kotak Bank, and L&T were the top gainers, rising up to 1.3 per cent. Meanwhile, Eternal, Maruti Suzuki, Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, SBI, Bajaj Finance, Adani Ports, and Bharti Airtel were the laggards.
