PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - A family gathered in Northwest Portland on Monday evening to hold a vigil for a 39-year-old woman who was found dead in a car over the weekend.

On Saturday, Portland police officers discovered the body of Krystal Pendergraph in her parked car outside the Kearney Court Apartments on Northwest Kearney Street near Northwest 23rd Avenue. Police confirmed she died from a gunshot wound.

Two days later, at the same location where she was found, family, friends, and nearby residents came together in prayer during a candlelight vigil.

Wiley Tillman, Pendergraph’s niece, remembered her as a vibrant and warm presence.
