Portland police found a woman dead Saturday in a parked car in Northwest Portland and said she appeared to have been shot.
Homicide detectives responded to the scene, police said.
Officers had been called to do a welfare check on the woman shortly after 5 p.m. The car was parked along Northwest Kearney Street between 22nd and 23rd avenues.
Police said they made no immediate arrest. They released no other information.
Kearney Street was closed between 21st Avenue and 23rd Avenue for the investigation.
