San Francisco, Oct 14: OpenAI and Broadcom on Monday announced a multi-year strategic partnership to jointly design and develop chips and systems aimed at meeting the world’s growing artificial intelligence (AI) compute demands. Under the collaboration, the companies will develop 10 gigawatts of custom AI accelerators, with OpenAI designing the chipsets and Broadcom handling fabrication and deployment. Broadcom will also provide Ethernet solutions to scale the AI systems.
