The Dayton Foodbank is organizing a mass food distribution and care event in Preble County this week.

The event will be drive-thru-style and see fresh produce and groceries provided for free to those in attendance. The Foodbank is collaborating with CareSource, Preble County Public Health (PCPH) and SICSA, with the latter distributing pet food. PCPH will provide optional vaccines.

The non-profit will host the event in the parking lot of Eaton Community Church on Thursday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

"By partnering with the Eaton Community Church, we’re able to extend this support to families and pets in rural areas who might otherwise face barriers to care,” said Jessie Sullivan, Director of Adoption and Alternative Services at SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center.
