DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A local elementary student was airlifted from the playground due to an injury early Tuesday morning.

The student was injured at Graham Elementary School in St. Paris.

The airlift was done out of an abundance of caution, per the Graham Local Schools superintendent, Chad Lensman.

“An elementary student sustained a playground injury today during recess. Out of an abundance of caution, Careflight was called to transport the student,” wrote Lensman. “We appreciate the quick action of students, staff, and the JSP Fire Department.”
