NHS issues five-day alert for households with covid as two variants most common

Households have been issued a five-day covid warning to help prevent the spread of illness.

The most recent reports from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) indicates that coronavirus cases are rising in hospitals across England, reports MirrorOnline.

Experts also noted that the XFG variant, otherwise known as Stratus, is at present the most dominant strain.

In previous weeks, the NB.1.8. 1 variant, known as Nimbus, had also been going around extensively.
