PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Showers and thunderstorms are winding down across Arizona today after five days of unsettled weather across the state.
Look for mostly sunny skies, breezy conditions and cool temperatures in the Valley today. Afternoon temperatures will only climb to 83 degrees, which is seven degrees below normal for this time of year in Phoenix.
Tropical moisture is being scoured out of the state today, leaving behind a drier air mass. A few showers and thunderstorms are still possible in higher elevations, mainly just north and east of the Valley, and in the high country along and east of the I-17 corridor. Low pressure approaching California today and moving inland over the next few days will continue to bring dry air into Arizona, keeping skies clear.
