Former EastEnders star Maisie Smith has admitted that it was ‘scary to leave’ to leave the soap as she provided an ‘exciting’ update.

Maisie is currently starring in a new stage adaptation of The Talented Ripley, most known for its 1999 Matt Damon film .

The 24-year-old girlfriend of The Wanted singer Max George, 37, is best known for playinh Tiffany Butcher on Albert Square, joining the show when she was just 6-years-old in 2008.

After becoming a fan favourite on the programme, Maisie would leave in 2016 before making a full-time return in 2018.

Sadly for viewers, Maisie’s second departure arrived in 2021 when Tiffany decided to marry Keegan Baker following their will they, won’t they relationship.

Now playing the role of Marge Sherwood, previously played by Gwynet
