A 27-year-old Cambridge man has been charged with drinking and driving offences following an Oct. 10 single-vehicle collision on Mechanic Street in Paris.
Brant OPP officers were notified of the collision at about 11:33 p.m. and found a parked blue sedan with a lone male in the driver’s seat.

The vehicle had extensive front end damage and appeared to have been involved in a recent collision. The licence plate matched the plate of a vehicle that fled from police earlier, Brant OPP said in a media release.
Officers spoke to the driver and subsequently arrested him.
Brant County OPP have charged the driver with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his blood, mischief or damage property and flight from police.
