The Oakland County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team freed a 4-point buck Monday that was trapped between concrete barriers separating northbound and southbound lanes on I-75 in Auburn Hills, officials said.
A passing motorist called Auburn Hills police at around 2 p.m. to report that the deer had been struck by a vehicle on I-75 near Lapeer Road and was lodged in a gap between the barriers, the sheriff’s office said. The gap between the barriers is approximately one foot wide.
Auburn Hills police requested help from the sheriff’s Search and Rescue Team, which responded to the scene with a specialized truck.
