Late Monday night, some folks around Chazy, NY, and both sides of Lake Champlain got a little shake they weren’t expecting.

According to NBC5’s First Warning Weather Team , a magnitude 2.6 earthquake rattled the area around 11:39 PM on Monday.

Residents in towns like Altona, Mooers, and even as far south as Plattsburgh and Burlington reported feeling light tremors, though thankfully, no injuries or damage were reported.
