When describing 17-year-old Kaylee, her worker can’t help but smile.

“Kaylee has this contagious, bubbly, goofy personality,” she says, “and loves to joke around. She loves to smile and laugh, and she’s that typical teenage girl who loves to shop, do her nails, and listen to music. She loves Christian music and has a beautiful voice!”

“She’s also incredibly kind,” her worker continues. “She is a very caring girl. She will check up on people if she hasn’t seen them or learns that something is wrong. She thrives on connections with others and cares about everyone.”

Kaylee also cares about animals – and she loves to draw them. She began drawing when she was four years old.

“I color, I paint,” says Kaylee, who usually has a picture finished to give her worker when they see each other.
