The City of Miami is preparing for one of the most competitive elections in more than two decades, with a total of 13 candidates running for mayor and 11 candidates for city commissioner.
This Thursday at 7pm the leading candidates for mayor will participate in a televised debate that will air on NBC 6 and stream in our digital platforms. The event is being hosted by the Biscayne Neighborhoods Association.
NBC 6 anchor Jackie Nespral will moderate with David Smiley from the Miami Herald.
The association selected the candidates based on a poll conducted by Griffin Catalyst. The four candidates participating are: Eileen Higgins, a Miami-Dade County commissioner; Ken Russell, a former Miami city commissioner; Emilio Gonzalez, a former Miami city manager; and Xavier Suarez, a former Miami
