Iconic rock drummer Thommy Price, known for his time with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, has died at 68.
The musician’s wife, Stefunny, shared the news of his death on Facebook .
“A devoted husband and proud father and powerhouse drummer and songwriter, Thommy’s extraordinary career spanned decades, performing and recording with some of rock’s most iconic artists,” the post reads. “His energy, kindness, humor, and unmatched rhythm left an indelible mark on everyone who knew him and every stage he graced.”
Price, who was born in Brooklyn, New York, began his drumming career with the band Scandal. He would go on to perform with Billy Idol before his decades-long stint with Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, which began in 1986.
