CLEVELAND — The case of murder suspect Bionca Ellis -- the 34-year-old woman accused of fatally stabbing 3-year-old Julian Wood outside a Giant Eagle in North Olmsted last year -- is now in the hands of a Cuyahoga County jury.

On Tuesday, attorneys for the prosecution and defense delivered closing arguments before Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court Judge John J. Russo sent jurors back to begin their deliberations.

Ellis entered a plea of not guilty by reason of insanity. That means it's up to the jury to decide if Ellis understood that what she is accused of doing on June 3, 2024 was wrong.
