RALEIGH, N.C. (WITN) - Lottery players in Eastern Carolina have a chance to win a jackpot that just keeps growing.

The North Carolina Education Lottery has announced that tonight’s Mega Millions drawing will offer a $600 million jackpot.

Tonight’s winner would have the choice of that jackpot as an annuity or $277.2 million in cash.

“The chance to play for a jackpot worth $600 million does not come around every day,” said Mark Michalko, chief executive officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “Good luck to all North Carolinians trying their luck on that life-changing prize.”

The odds of winning a Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 290 million.
