OCALA, Fla. (WCJB) - Marion County Sheriff’s deputies arrested 17-year-old Caden Speight after they say he faked his kidnapping, triggering an Amber Alert last month.
Speight was arrested on Tuesday on the charges of presenting false evidence, shooting into a conveyance, making a false report of a crime, and possession of a firearm by a minor.

On Sept. 25, Speight reportedly texted his mother, claiming he was shot while driving on Southwest Highway 484 in Dunnellon. He claimed to have been taken by four Hispanic men in a light-colored van.
