QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy City Officials announced South 11th Street between State and Kentucky Street will be closed immediately Today.

Water Department Supervisor Brian Koch said the road is closed for the installation of a new water service with weather permitting.

The road is said to be closed until 8 a.m. Thursday.

Koch asks motorists to use an alternative route and drive with extreme caution.
