LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Meiden America Switchgear, Inc., a pioneer in vacuum technology, announced that it is expanding its existing production facility in Laurens County, which will create 43 new jobs.

MAS was founded in 2020 and headquartered in Gray Court, where it manufactures, tests and sells high-voltage vacuum circuit breakers.

Its existing facility at 2200 North Old Laurens Road will be expanded by by 37,000 square feet to accommodate several new product lines. These include the manufacture and distribution of 123 kV breakers to support North American electric power utility partners and OEMs, according to the company.

MAS said it is also expanding office space by 7,500 square feet.
