A narcotics investigation led to a large marijuana seizure on the 2600 block of McCullough Boulevard, authorities said.

According to the North Mississippi Narcotics Unit (NMNU), working with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics (MBN), agents had been investigating complaints involving the sale of controlled substances by Anfernee Travezz Owens. On Oct. 8, 2025, NMNU and the Tupelo Police Department Special Operations Group executed a search warrant at the location.

During the operation, officers contacted Owens and recovered more than 55 pounds of suspected marijuana, three firearms, and over $100,000 in seized property.
