A routine traffic stop Sunday evening on Highway 26 near Poplarville resulted in the arrest of a Louisiana man on narcotics-related charges, according to the Pearl River County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said that around 7:02 p.m. on Oct. 12, 2025, Deputy Malley Bilbo stopped a red Chevrolet Equinox with a Louisiana tag for speeding. The driver, identified as Brandon Jumonville, 43, of Denham Springs, La., was found to have a suspended driver’s license.
During the encounter, the deputy reported seeing suspected drug paraphernalia in plain view. A subsequent search recovered a clear container with a substance consistent with methamphetamine (felony) and a glass pipe, officials said. The suspected narcotics were secured as evidence and will be sent to the Mississippi State Crime Lab for an
