UNCASVILLE, Conn. — Monday’s scrimmage between the No. 4 UConn men’s basketball team and Boston College Eagles offered Huskies fans their first taste of the new season.
UConn cruised past BC 71-52 at Mohegan Sun Arena, showcasing both offensive firepower and tenacious defense.
While there is room for improvement, the UConn faithful should be optimistic after Monday’s performance.
The Huskies looked dominant early, jumping out to a 32-16 first half lead.

Even when that lead disappeared, as BC took a 40-37 advantage early in the second frame, the adversity didn’t phase UConn.
The Huskies bounced back and regained a commanding lead en route to their eventual 19-point victory.
