SUN CITY WEST, AZ (AZFamily) — The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that at least one person is critically hurt after a crash in the West Valley on Tuesday afternoon.

The collision happened just after 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Aleppo Drive and RH Johnson Boulevard , about 1.5 miles northwest of Bell Road.

Deputies and Arizona-Fire Medical crews were visible from aerial footage. The footage showed a gray crossover SUV with front-end damage, while a sedan suffered much more extensive damage to the back end.

MCSO Sgt. Joaquin Enriquez told Arizona’s Family that traffic investigators are on the way to the scene to determine what led up to the wreck. However, he confirmed there are life-threatening injuries.
