LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- Metro police are resubmitting evidence against some of the 100 people arrested during "No Kings" protests in June as officers prepare for more protests this weekend, Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill told the 8 News Now Investigators.

“We're not letting people go and riot in this town without the Metropolitan Police Department responding to it,” McMahill said following a question from the 8 News Now Investigators about why prosecutors dropped charges against the majority of protesters arrested after two protests in June.

Several “No Kings” protests against the Trump administration are planned for Saturday.

“And I can assure you, if they start throwing those kinds of things at my cops, we're going to be taking action,” McMahill warned.
