DENVER (KDVR) — A crash closed Highway 6 in Clear Creek County on Tuesday afternoon, the sheriff's office reported.

The roadway was closed between Highway 119 and Highway 40, which is about 2.5 miles of road.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff's Office said that the crash involved two vehicles and life-threatening injuries, but didn't say how many people were involved.

As of about 3 p.m., one vehicle was in the creek and a medical helicopter was responding. • First responders along Highway 6.
